Commercial Port
Roll-On/Roll-Off Terminal
It consists of a 245-metre-long mooring quay equipped with a floating pontoon and a bridge connecting it to the embankment.
It has an area of 3,000 m2 and is used for parking trailers and containers. The terminal can handle ships with a side ramp, bow ramp or stern ramp, in any tidal situation.
GALP Asphalt Terminal
Asphalt reception, storage and distribution terminal with a total capacity of 6,256 m3 distributed over 15 tanks. It is supplied by two 6" diameter quay outlets located in sector 1 of the Commercial Quay.

CECISA Cement Terminal
The cement and ash reception terminal occupies a total area of 12,900 m2 and consists of a bagging / storage warehouse with an area of around 3,800 m2 and 16 silos with a total storage capacity of 49,800 tonnes.

SECIL Cement Terminal
Bulk cement reception, storage and distribution terminal, with a storage capacity of 6,000 tonnes. It is supplied by a 10" quay intake located in sector 4 of the Commercial Quay.
SECIL – Companhia Geral de Cal e Cimento, S.A
The 487 metres of quay in the commercial sector border embankments with an area of 16 ha.
Water and electricity distribution networks
The port has private networks for supplying water and electricity to ships, as well as to facilities and buildings in the harbour area.
Facilities in the Commercial Harbour
Port Administration Building
This building houses the Administration and all the Services that make up the organisational structure of APVC, SA, as well as the Customs Authority, the GNR Tax Brigade and the administrative services of the Border Inspection Post.
Port Community Building
This building houses the Stevedoring Companies, the Shipping Agents and the Port Labour Company.
Foreigners and Borders Service facilities
To the west of the port community building is the SEF - Aliens and Borders Service.
Border Inspection Post
The Border Inspection Post - PIF, under the jurisdiction of the General Veterinary Directorate, is responsible for inspecting products intended for human and non-human consumption from third countries.
Workshop Complex
Aimed at repairing and maintaining its infrastructure and equipment, the port of Viana do Castelo has mechanical, electrical, locksmith and carpentry workshops.
