Explanatory Note and Monthly Tide Tables

The following values were supplied by the Hydrographic Institute.

The values indicated in the table can differ considerably from the real values as a result of variations in the mean sea level, mainly due to atmospheric conditions.

These differences generally do not exceed 0.3 to 0.4 metres for heights and 10 to 15 minutes for times, but can, in exceptional conditions, reach significantly higher values.

Users should be aware that the tide forecasts indicated refer to a time zone that may not coincide with the time zone corresponding to legal time.

Given that the Hydrographic Zero (HZ) plane was set in relation to average levels adopted several decades ago, there is currently a systematic difference of around +10 centimetres between the observed water heights and the predicted tidal heights.
